This research unit stands out as the only center in agricultural and livestock breeding instrumentation in Latin America and amongst tropical countries. Its team of 18 researchers works on new methodologies and techniques for the sustainable development of agriculture and animal farming, agro-industry and agroforestry, through instrumentation. It has created pioneering equipment for laboratories, industries and rural producers and has some 20 patent pending technologies.
