Embrapa Tropical Semiarid

The center has 79 researchers and an infrastructure consisting of laboratories for soil, water, plant, animal nutrition, entomology, phytopatology, seeds, plant physiology and biotechnology analysis and also a specialized library for livestock breeding. It coordinates and executes projects in collaboration with other research institutes and private and public organizations, focusing on the sustainable development of irrigated agriculture and livestock breeding of the semi-arid region in the Northeast of Brazil.
