BRS 2560XTD is a transgenic “Xtend”- type soybean cultivar with tolerance to the herbicides glyphosate and dicamba, which facilitates weed control. It is recommended for Brazilian soybean Macroregion 1, REC 103, which partially corresponds to the soybean producing regions of the states of Paraná and Rio Grande do Sul. It is a soybean cultivar option that allows early sowing, allowing insertion in rotation and/or succession systems with other crops. It offers good production stability and is in relative maturity group 6.0. It is resistant to the main soybean diseases, with moderate resistance to root-knot nematode Meloidogyne javanica and field resistance to phytophtora root rot. It is sown preferably between September 30 and November 15, in medium and high fertility soils, using the population of 10 to 14 plants per meter. Such plant density can vary depending on the most appropriate positioning in terms of sowing season, soil fertility and altitude. Edaphoclimate regions of adaptation: REC 103 – RS (Serra do Nordeste, Planalto Superior); PR (mid-south). Some agronomic traits can vary depending on the year, region, soil fertility level and time of sowing. Always consult an agronomist. The 2020/21 harvest saw the end of VCU tests that confirmed the production and agronomic merit of the launch of BRS 2560XTD; in addition, Bayer's comparative tests also corroborated the results of productive merit and commercial appeal of said cultivar to be launched in REC 103 (RS and PR) with average yield 1.08% above the average of the main Intacta standards in the region (53I54RSF IPRO and 55I57RSF IPRO). Resistance to different leaf diseases ensures both higher productive (economic) and environmental sustainability. This is a transgenic (GM), "Xtend"- type soybean cultivar that is tolerant to the herbicides dicamba and glyphosate, which facilitates weed control, and is a great refuge option for the “Intacta 2/Xtend” cultivars with maturity groups between 5.8 and 6.2. The use of cultivars with Xtend technology as a refuge for Intacta 2 Xtend cultivars is a key tool in the context of integrated pest management, to ensure greater longevity of the BT technology.

This technological solution was developed by Embrapa in partnership with other institution(s).
